March 7--Day 243

Game night! It was really great to have a smaller group. That's our goal for this semester. And, we got to see an old friend from last year, Senior. Things I learned tonight: If you put down "Japanese" for any remotely negative word in Apples to Apples, your card will win. If you put down "China" for any remotely positive word in Apples to Apples, your card will win. Also, Chinese girls are repulsed by six-packs. Absolutely disgusted. These guys aren't just my students, they're my friends. And I had the best time with them.

March 6--Day 242

While everyone in America is having snow days, we're having "Planned Power Outage" days. So, to escape, we went to Haikou. Of course, the elevator wasn't working, so we started to carry our ridiculously heavy bikes down six flights. We weren't about to let anything stand in the way of our fun day with Mrs. Mills. Thankfully, the elevator miraculously started working before we maimed or killed ourselves! Rode the five-flight high escalator to one of the most interesting restaurants in Haikou. Ever drunk milk tea from a baby bottle? I have. Also, why have Prego when you can have "Braised Bacon Spaghetti with Pumpkin Sauce"? The spaghetti wasn't braised, the dish was bacon-less, and the pumpkin sauce was... not as bad as you would think. It was a fun day of exploration with Mrs. Mills. Restaurant hopping, photo frame searching, random Chinese "outlet" store.

March 5--Day 241

What do we do when we have guests? Go to the store and chill in their chairs, of course!
