October 7--Day 457

It's duck heart, in case you were wondering. 'Cause I was.

Chicken feet. Yum.

When they try to translate things, often they use the scientific names, which mean nothing to us. But this is cyminum powder! What is that, you ask? Well, it's "the transliteration of weiwuer language. It is a flower family plant like an umbrella. It can take special fragrant and delicious flavor." Directions? "It can remove fishy, helpful in raising appetite, suitable to roast mutton cubes on a skewer, sheep or pork, beef, fowls, etc, and food (such as cyminum rice crust). The scale is little more 3% when cooking or maturation."        So, it's like an umbrella that raises appetite and is good for cooking food. Something about 3% mature. Got it. Umbrella spice!

BBQ is such a big deal here that they have special BBQ shops, that sell only BBQ things.
